TDM, TDM Plantation ‘Korban’ Programme in Conjuction with Eid al-Adha

21 July 2021 – TDM Berhad once again had the opportunity to share its blessings by donating several cows for “korban” or religious ritual of sacrifice in conjunction with Eid al-Adha celebration to TDM Plantation (TDMP) for its employees and communities at Sungai Tong, Bukit Besi, and Kemaman complexes. The “korban” programme was held simultaneously at all three locations earlier this morning, following the guidelines by the Terengganu Religious Affairs Department (JHEAT) and Malaysia Ministry of Health (MoH) to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Although held differently and in a smaller crowd this time, the objective of the programme remained the same; to help the needy, especially those who are heavily impacted by the pandemic, while carrying out religious obligation as a sign of gratitude for the progress that the company has had so far. In total, the teams managed to distribute about 800 portions of sacrificial meat to the nearby communities across all three complexes.

Sharing is indeed the gift of caring, to which the value it holds ripples towards kindness, impacting many lives more than we could imagine. We hope that today’s programme brought smiles to the recipients’ faces and helped strengthen the spirit of togetherness among TDMP staff and the local communities.
