07 August 2021 – The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many regular aspects of life for countless individuals and families. With a commitment to support its employees and communities where the company’s businesses operate in, TDM Berhad continued its “Bakul Prihatin TDM” programme by distributing essential food items to a total of 670 families across the Kemaman complex. The distributions, which took place at Jernih, Pelantoh, and Tebak estates and the surrounding areas, were carried out by volunteers from each estate with the support of the local Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) team. Among the items distributed were cooking oil, rice, biscuits, sugar, and a few other essential dry rations for their food source as they go about their daily lives through the Restricted Movement Control Order (RMCO).
TDM would like to extend its gratitude to the volunteers led by TDM Plantation South Zone Plantation Controller En Roslan Othman, together with Jernih, Pelantoh and Tebak Estate Managers as well as local JPKK for rendering their assistance during the food aid distributions, which truly helps our workers and community in facing this health concern. Our philanthropic drive as a responsible brand and employer will not stop here – we will continue to intensify our efforts in supporting those most vulnerable in society as we work together to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.
