TDM Rendered Assistance to Kuala Nerus Residents amid Water Disruption Crisis

09 August 2021 – TDM Berhad recently went to great lengths to assist residents in Kuala Nerus who are affected by the ongoing water disruption caused by damage of the main pipe at the riverbed of Sungai Terengganu. The company made a monetary donation to a local non-governmental organisation (NGO) to purchase bottled waters for the residents and rent lorries to help distribute water supply around the areas. The contribution made showcases the company’s commitment and social responsibility in ensuring the community’s welfare is well taken care of during these trying times.

On top of the Restricted Movement Control Order (RMCO), the water supply disruption has become a big challenge to many residents and small businesses around the areas, making it difficult to go about their daily routines. TDM Berhad would like to encourage the public to extend a helping hand to those currently affected by the water crisis in any way possible. Such solidarity should be nurtured within our community so that each of us perseveres through any difficulties faced.

Thank you to everyone involved in channeling our donation to the affected residents. We hope the assistance provided could help them through the crisis, which is expected to end in a few more days. A special shoutout to our fellow government-linked company (GLC), Syarikat Air Terengganu (SATU), whose teams are working around the clock to repair the damaged pipe while mobilising all available sources to provide clean water supply to the affected areas. The unwavering commitment demonstrated is indeed commendable – we hope that the repair works will be completed safely and as planned.
