24 August 2021 – Earlier this morning, Bukit Bidong estate, one of TDM Plantation’s (TDMP) estates located at the Sungai Tong complex, organised a meeting with several Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) representatives. The session was held to encourage local participation in filling the vacancies currently offered at TDMP’s estates. As a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19, everyone involved was first screened using the COVID-19 rapid test kit on top of following the standard operating procedures (SOP) outlined by the Ministry of Health (MoH) Malaysia.
Present at the venue to share more information about the job opportunities to the guests were TDMP Head of Community Outreach Haji Nor Ashari Abd. Latiff and TDMP North Zone Plantation Controller Mr Mohd Zamry Abdullah. Today’s session is of the company initiative to address the rise to workforce issues in the plantation division while extending job opportunities and stable incomes to the locals. This commitment directly sustains our plantation business and, at the same time, enables our community to survive and thrive in the new economic landscape.
