TDM Berhad Joins TIG’s Pact for Education Support with Yayasan Terengganu

13th September 2022 – The plantation division of TDM Berhad, TDM Plantation Sdn Bhd (TDMP), had the opportunity to take part in the “Seminar Pemerkasaan Keselamatan & Kesihatan Pekerjaan di Sektor Pertanian” – a programme organised by DOSHtech in collaboration with Terengganu Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and also Terengganu Social Security Organisation (SOCSO). Hosted at the Raia Hotel & Convention Centre, Kuala Terengganu, this program, which became a platform for occupational safety and health (OSH) practitioners to improve on OSH management in the agricultural sector in addition to sharing the best and latest OSH practices, was participated by three Compliance Executives and 15 Compliance Clerks from TDMP estates and mills. Present to officiate the program are YBrs. Mr. Mohd Zahari Hitam, Director of JKKP Terengganu.
At the same program, TDMP Occupational Safety & Health Officer Encik Mohd Izwan Haffez Che Azmi gave a talk on the implementation of OSH guidelines in the plantation sector currently practiced across TDMP’s operations. His sharing also detailed the strategic collaboration between TDM and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA); an effort to ensure that all employees were vaccinated and received the necessary support and protection from the COVID-19 coronavirus.
May this programme greatly benefit all participants as well as our collective efforts to ensure the OSH standards, both within the TDM Group and Malaysia-wide, continue to be upheld and elevated for a more sustainable economic impact.
