26th October 2022 – TDM Berhad is pleased to again team up with the Terengganu Inc Group (TIG) members in this year’s October is Pink – a yearly and month-long campaign spearheaded by Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd (Terengganu Inc) to educate the public about the importance of early screening and increase awareness of breast cancer.
This time, the Group rallied to paint the town pink by gathering its staff at a public forum, the Pink Talk 2022, empowering everyone with sufficient knowledge and education on breast health backed by real-life and professional experiences. Hosted at KMI Kuala Terengganu Medical Centre (KMI Kuala Terengganu), this pink-themed event was first kick-started with an opening keynote by Terengganu Inc President and Executive Director Haji Burhanuddin Hilmi Mohamed @ Harun, who expressed his joy over the strong alliance formed by the members of TIG in championing the cause.
The event continued with a forum featuring KMI Kuala Terengganu General Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Syauki Hasan, Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah (HSNZ) Breast and Endocrine Surgery Consultant Mr. Hussain Mohamad, Terengganu Breast Cancer Support Club (SAMO) President Prof. Dr. Noraznawati Ismail, and breast cancer survivor Puan Rosnani Said. They discussed all things breast cancer and injected positivity into the very fabric of a breast cancer diagnosis.
The question-and-answer session at the end proved to be effective and valuable, with many attendees asking questions and, at the same time, sharing their key takeaways.
We look forward to more future collaborations within the Group or with other like-minded organisations, giving back to society by providing education on breast cancer, reducing the stigmatisation around breast cancer, and encouraging people to seek expert advice and treatments.
