TDMP Welcomes MPOGCF to Its Kemaman Operations

10th November 2022 – The plantation arm of TDM Berhad, TDM Plantation Sdn Bhd (TDMP), received a visit from the Malaysian Palm Oil Green Conservation Foundation (MPOGCF) at its Pelantoh Estate, Kemaman.

The visit was to discuss two of TDMP’s sustainability initiatives, namely the “River of Life” and the “Living Together with Elephants” projects, following the MoU inked by the company and MPOGF as collaboration partners last year. The delegation led by MPOGCF General Manager Encik Zamakhshari Muhamad was warmly welcomed by TDMP Chief Executive Officer Encik Hamdan Ibrahim.

They talked through current and future developments of both projects, as well as potential collaborations, especially for the installation of tracking collars on elephant herds roaming around TDMP estates.

MPOGCF delegates were then taken to Sungai Kijing – the second river rejuvenated by TDMP through its “River of Life” project and one of the sites for the company’s participation in the 100 Million Tree Planting campaign – located at Jernih Estate, Kemaman.

Before ending the trip, Encik Hamdan and Encik Zamakhshari also planted a few saplings as a sign of support for the campaign.
