TDM Spearheads the Biogas Industry in Terengganu

TDM Berhad (TDM), in collaboration with the Persatuan Belia Sahabat Sejahtera Daerah Marang, organised the first TDM Bersama Masyarakat of the company with the Marang community, which is located at Padang Mengkuang Mosque. Present to inaugurate the programme is YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Samsuri bin Mokhtar, Chief Minister of Terengganu.
This programme is one of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes in the form
of social and educational events which was held as part of the company’s efforts to reach out
to the local community and at the same time raise awareness among the community about
the importance of a deeper appreciation of Islam. Its implementation coincides with the company’s Shariah-compliant status and is also in line with TDM’s mission, which is to be the
‘corporate citizenship’ model and be an organisation that values responsibility and always
provides added value to stakeholders, including the community.
TDM seized the opportunity to help 400 selected Asnaf families from Marang district in the
hope of easing their burden. The donation to the recipients was completed by YAB Dato’ Seri
Dr. Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, Menteri Besar of Terengganu, accompanied by Hj Najman
Kamaruddin, Executive Director, and YB Sulaiman Sulong, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism,
Culture, and Information Technology Committee 1 and Project Director.
The programme that lasted for two days was packed with a variety of special, interesting, and
informative activities for all, regardless of age, making this carnival just right for the whole family to visit. Among the activities were Marang Bermunajat, Bicara Ad-Deen, Qiamullai Perdana, Kuliah Subuh, Bicara Wanita, Jamuan Rakyat, Konvoi Anak Muda, Slot Santai Petang which featured Ustaz Kamaruzaman Abdullah as the moderator, En Hamdan Ibrahim, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif TDM Plantation, Nizam Laksamana, Usop Kopratasa, special performance by Shoutul Iman and ended with Kuliah Maghrib.
TDM is nevertheless aware of its obligations as a Shariah-compliant and a community-oriented organisation. Along with all of the other TDM Group subsidiaries, the company continually prioritises efforts to advance the spiritual growth of the society and produces numerous community welfare activities.
