TDM witnessed a heart-warming scene as almost 4,000 Muslims gathered for the Subuh prayer at the Abidin Mosque (State Mosque) in Kuala Terengganu yesterday. The morning prayers were led by the esteemed Imam Khas of the Terengganu State Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hamid Kulaib Al-Azhari, as part of the ‘Geng Subuh Macam Jumaat’ program.
TDM takes pride in being one of the sponsors for this event organized by Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat ADUN Bandar. The program was graced by the presence of notable figures, including YB Datuk Haji Ahmad Amzad Hashim, Member of Parliament for Kuala Terengganu, and YB Ustaz Ahmad Shah Muhamed, ADUN Bandar. Commencing with Qiamullail, congregational Subuh prayer, and a Subuh Tazkirah by Ustaz Syed Mohd Norhisyam Al-Idrus, the event then concluded with an enjoyable fun walk led by Ustaz Azhar Idrus.
The primary objective of this program is to rekindle and foster a sense of community participation in the early morning, particularly on Fridays. The hope is that the mosque’s orientation program will persist, serving as a starting point, especially for the younger generation, to actively engage in congregational prayers at nearby mosques.
May the mosque’s orientation program continue to thrive, and may this initiative mark the beginning of a meaningful journey, especially for the younger generation, towards embracing regular congregational prayers at their local mosques.
