Tour Gateh D’Tranung 2024 (TGDT 2024) was successfully held over five days from 24 to 28 October across the state of Terengganu. TDM is proud to be one of the sponsors of TGDT 2024, a cycling event that not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also aims to strengthen Terengganu’s position as a leading destination for sports tourism.
The race began with Stage 1 in Dungun covering 158KM, followed by Stage 2 in Marang (107.8KM), Stage 3 in Hulu Terengganu (167.5KM), Stage 4 in Kuala Nerus (181KM), and concluded with Stage 5, a 57KM criterium. Throughout the event, all participants demonstrated exceptional spirit and commitment.
The overall Best Team award was won by the Armed Forces Cycling Team, with Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) in second place, and Malaysia Pro Cycling Team in third. The Individual General Classification winner was Jeroen Meijers from Raudah Cahaya Foundation. Mohamad Nur Aiman Mohd Zariff from TSG was named Best Sprinter, while Muhammad Zawawi Azman from the Armed Forces Cycling Team earned the Best Climber title. Muhamad Hakimi Haiqal Ahmad Sabri from Raudah Cahaya Foundation was recognized as the Best Local Club rider, and Muhammad Syawal Mazlin from Malaysia Pro Cycling Team was named Best Under-23 Rider.
TDM hopes that through this sponsorship, it can continue to strengthen its ties with the local community while supporting the economic and social development of the state.
