TDM Supports Fisherfolk Through Welfare Aid in DUN Sura

TDM, through the Pertubuhan Sukarelawan Insan Sejahtera Terengganu, extended welfare aid to fishermen in the DUN Sura area, as part of efforts to support the fishing community in facing daily life challenges.

The event was officiated by YB Dr. Tengku M. Fakhruddin, State Assembly Representative (ADUN) for Sura, and was also attended by Tuan Haji Wan Hapandi bin Wan Nik, former ADUN for Sura, as well as local JPKK (Village Development and Security Committee) chairpersons who presented the aid to recipients. A total of 185 fishermen received welfare assistance in the form of cash and a sack of rice.

TDM continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting initiatives that benefit the community, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UNSDG) 1: No Poverty. This financial assistance helps ease the cost of living burden for the fishing community.

It is hoped that this event will serve as a catalyst for more initiatives supporting the well-being of fishermen and local communities. TDM remains committed to playing an active role in empowering social development in the state of Terengganu.
