12 October 2021 – TDM Berhad recently organised a 2-day stakeholder engagement session for the signing of sublease and management agreements in relation to the company’s sublease scheme renewal exercise. Hosted at Kuala Lumpur Novotel Hotel, the session was attended by 100 scheme holders from Klang Valley and the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia following predetermined time slot allocations and strict adherence to the COVID-19 prevention standard operating procedures (SOPs). These individuals are subscribers of the Terengganu Oil Palm Development Sublease Scheme involving a land plot in Kemaman, currently leased under Kumpulan Ladang-Ladang Trengganu Sdn Bhd (KLLT) and operated by TDM Plantation Sdn Bhd (TDMP), that requires renewal exercise. Upon the renewal exercise, which will take effect for another 30 years from its expiry date, stakeholders will continue receiving dividends from the scheme starting from 2020 to the new expiry date.
The documents were executed in the presence of TDM Head of Corporate Services En Badrol Abu Bakar, Head of Legal and Secretarial Tuan Syed Zulfhadlie Syed Zin and Head of Sublease Unit En Zakaria Jusoh together with an appointed legal counsel. On top of that, the organising team, consisting of officers from the Group’s Sublease Unit and volunteering staff, also assisted stakeholders with scheme transfer and completed dividend payment transactions. Joining the team on the second day of the session was TDM Executive Director Haji Najman Kamaruddin, who took the opportunity to personally greet and have quick exchanges with those present.
TDM will soon arrange another session for the remaining scheme holders and is committed to maximise the sublease scheme potential, opening doors to more impactful investments and providing sustainable returns to all stakeholders.
