25 October 2021 – Kumpulan Medic Iman Sdn Bhd (KMI Healthcare), the healthcare arm of TDM Berhad, has entered into Memorandum of Understanding with Kemaman Municipal Council (MPK) for the development of a private hospital in Chukai, Kemaman.
The signing ceremony was held at Wisma Darul Iman earlier today witnessed by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, Menteri Besar of Terengganu and YM Raja Dato’ Idris Raja Kamarudin, Chairman of KMI Healthcare.
The MOU is for the development of a private hospital in Kg. Jaya, Mukim Chukai, Kemaman. This will be the first private specialist hospital in the Kemaman district. The construction of the 100 beds on 5.4 acres of land owned by MPK is in line with Kemaman Local Plan and capable to be expanded to 200 beds in the near future.
Currently, there are five hospitals under KMI Healthcare, namely KMI Kuala Terengganu Medical Center (previously known as Kuala Terengganu Specialist Hospital), KMI Kuantan Medical Center, KMI Kelana Jaya Medical Center, KMI Taman Desa Medical Center and KMI Tawau Medical Center, the latest addition to KMI Healthcare chain of hospitals which was recently acquired.
