TDM Spreads Joy and Generosity with Iftar Kaseh Ramadan Event for Less Fortunate Children in Pengkalan Berangan

In conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, which is about to arrive, TDM Berhad (TDM) collaborates with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to share the joy of the coming Syawal with orphans, asnaf by treating them new Raya clothes. Happiness was evident on the faces of 58 orphans who were taken to buy a new set of Raya clothes at the Kuala Terengganu City Center Shopping Center (KTCC) and then escorted to the Paya Bunga Hotel, Kuala Terengganu for the iftar ceremony. Also present to celebrate the children were the Speaker of the State Assembly, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Haji Yahaya Ali and the TDM Management.
To fulfil this commitment, TDM and Pertubuhan Muafakat Sejahtera Terengganu (SEJAHTERA) have joined forces. The shared goal is to spread the joy of celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri with orphans, giving them the chance to get ready for the holiday like other kids their age while also sending the message that the beauty of Hari Raya should be shared and enjoyed by all. This program is one of the ways for us to give back to the community and this time we are with orphans from the districts of Marang and Kuala Terengganu.
During the same ceremony, a contribution of duit raya to orphans was made in preparation for the Adilfitri festival, which is also symbolic of the Hari Raya celebration. The contribution was delivered by the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, Yang Berhormat Dato’ Haji Yahaya Ali, who was joined by TDM management. The children were then treated to an iftar at Hotel Paya Bunga in Kuala Terengganu with the new family from among the guests present.
The ceremony ended with congregational Maghrib prayers with the orphans as a sign of gratitude and respect for the glorious month of Ramadan.
