KMI Tawau Strengthens Cross-Border Healthcare Ties with IDI Nunukan Visit

KMI Tawau, in collaboration with PAPISMA SABAH, Jabatan Amal Malaysia Kawasan Tawau, Surau Al-IstiQomah, and Pertubuhan Semarak Kasih Tawau, successfully organized the Khatan Nusantara ceremony on 2nd March 2024 at Masjid Al-Istiqamah in Kampung Sri Menanti, Tanjung Batu Darat. The event provided over 40 underprivileged children from the asnaf community in Tawau with the opportunity to undergo traditional circumcision. This initiative reflects KMI Tawau’s commitment to supporting local communities and preserving cultural traditions.
In addition to the circumcision program, free health screenings were offered to residents of Tanjung Batu Darat, further promoting accessible healthcare within the community. This initiative aimed to support the well-being of both children and their families, ensuring they receive essential medical attention. Through such efforts, KMI Tawau continues to strengthen its role in community welfare and healthcare support.
