TDM Wins 3rd Place in Sultan Birthday Trishaw Parade 2024

TDM has successfully secured 3rd place in the decorated trishaw parade in conjunction with the 62nd birthday celebration of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, under the Government-Linked Company (GLC) category at Dataran Jambatan Angkat, Kuala Terengganu. Congratulations to the team who worked tirelessly on this decorated trishaw, and the award was received by Haji Najman Kamaruddin, Executive Director of TDM.

The TDM trishaw highlighted the unique arts and culture of Terengganu, featuring landmarks of the state such as the replica of the golden yellow “tanjak” or “tengkolok” associated with the palace and the spirit of Malay heroism, intricate carvings on the throne symbolizing the sovereignty of the Sultan of Terengganu, and the “Bangau Perahu”, an important element for the fishing community on the East Coast.

Excitingly, we also showcased our core businesses in Palm Oil Plantation and Healthcare division through our staffs who paraded along with the TDM trishaw. Additionally, it was adorned with mascots, Awang Nelang and Mek Ara, who have been named the tourism mascots for the State of Terengganu in 2024.

Thousands of spectators gathered to witness this parade of decorated trishaws and vehicles. May TDM continue to excel under the reign of His Royal Highness, the Sultan of Terengganu. DAULAT TUANKU!
