TDM Named ‘Company of the Year’ for Excellence in Sustainability and CSR

TDM has been listed as a Shariah-Compliant security by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC). Following this, Kumpulan Medic Iman Sdn Bhd (KMI Healthcare), the healthcare division of TDM, introduced the concept of a Hospital Mesra Ibadah (Worship-Friendly Hospital). This achievement was celebrated when KMI Healthcare received two awards at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2023 held at Shangri-La Singapore: Patient Care Initiative of the Year and Service Delivery Innovation Initiative of the Year.
To mark the conclusion of National Training Week (NTW) 2024, TDM, in collaboration with its Shariah and Shakhsiah department, held a knowledge-sharing session featuring speakers Ustaz Muhamad Hamdi Harun, Head of Shariah and Shakhsiah at TDM, and Ustaz Shukri Mohamed@Harun, Shariah and Shakhsiah Officer at KMI Kuala Terengganu Medical Centre. The session discussed the implementation of the Hospital Mesra Ibadah concept with 100 participants from TDM Group and university students from nursing and Islamic studies faculties.
To bring the Hospital Mesra Ibadah vision to life, all hospitals under KMI Healthcare are equipped with prayer rooms (surau), Qibla direction indicators in each room, complete prayer kits for tayammum and solat. Additionally, quiet rooms have been allocated for meditation or prayer by patients of other faiths, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
