TDM Successfully Hosts Pre-Launch of Terengganu Inc Challenge Series: International Golden Monsoon Ride 2024 (IGMR 2024)

TDM continues to strengthen its role in supporting charitable causes by participating in the SAMO Fun Walk 2024, organised by Khairunnisa’ and the Terengganu Breast Cancer Support Group (SAMO). The event was officiated by To’ Puan Hajah Zarani Othman, Deputy Chairperson of the Association of Wives of Elected Representatives, and was also attended by TDM’s Head of Corporate Communications, Puan Norfarizan Hashim, along with TDM staff. The walk took place at Kompleks Sukan TER, Kuala Ibai, this morning.
According to 2024 statistics, breast cancer cases in Malaysia continue to rise, with more than 8,000 new diagnoses reported this year alone. Events such as the SAMO Fun Walk play a vital role in raising public awareness about the dangers of breast cancer and the importance of early screening in saving lives. The program also serves to uplift and provide emotional support to patients and families affected by the illness.
The event featured a morning workout session and various fun walk categories, including individuals, families, and children. KMI Kuala Terengganu Medical Centre also provided free health screenings, and the event was enlivened by a creative decorated umbrella competition. With continued support, it is hoped that programs like these will create a positive impact and help foster a healthier, more compassionate community.
