TDM, through the Sports and Welfare Club of TDM Headquarters (KSKIP), successfully organized the Terengganu Inc Challenge Series: International Golden Monsoon Ride 2024 (IGMR 2024), marking the sixth edition of this prestigious annual event. The program was held at the Terengganu Science & Creativity Centre (PSKT) and saw the participation of 1,600 cyclists from Malaysia and abroad, including riders from Thailand and Singapore, as well as 500 volunteers who played vital roles in supporting the event.
The closing ceremony of IGMR 2024 was officiated by YB Ustaz Hishamuddin Abdul Karim, Chairman of the Youth, Sports and NGO Development Committee. Also in attendance were YM Tengku Seri Bijaya Raja, Chairman of TDM, Haji Burhanuddin Hilmi Mohamed @ Harun, President and Group CEO of Terengganu Inc, Haji Najman Kamaruddin, Executive Director of TDM, Mr. Teo Swee Phin, Managing Director of PTT Synergy Group, as well as company leaders from the Terengganu Inc Group and TDM’s management.
IGMR 2024 marked the highest participation ever in the Terengganu Inc Challenge Series and further strengthened Terengganu’s reputation as a premier international cycling destination. In the elite category, Abdul Syazwan Abdul Rahman from MiFH Cycling Group clinched first place with a finishing time of 1 hour 13 minutes.
The grand prize of a Perodua Myvi lucky draw was won by Mohd Fadli Abdul Kadir from Kelantan. Meanwhile, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Cycling Club won the largest club participation award with 41 riders and took home RM1,000 in cash.
With unwavering support from all parties, this event marked another brilliant success, inspiring the next generation to embrace sportsmanship and unity.
