TDM Plantation Hosted Virtual CSSP for Its Estate and Mill Staff

26 July 2021 – TDM Plantation (TDMP), in collaboration with Terengganu Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) and Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS), virtually organised the Commuting Safety Support Program (CSSP) 2021 in an effort to improve commuting safety and further reduce the risk of road accidents among its employees. Present to give words of encouragement and opening remarks to the participants were Terengganu SOCSO Director Puan Hajah Farihah Che Husin and TDM Berhad Head of Human Resources Haji Mohd Mardi Ismail. 44 selected staff from TDMP estates and mills across Terengganu were trained on Road Safety Awareness, Family Safety Reminder, Route Hazard Mapping, Fitness to Ride, Motorcycle Inspection, and Defensive Motor Riding Training. This virtual engagement featured critical discussions, evoking awareness of road safety that could save many lives considering the alarming number of road accident fatalities reported in Malaysia, with motorcycle accidents accounting for more than 60% of these fatalities.

TDM Berhad would like to applaud the organising committee for hosting such an insightful programme, helping the Group ensure the safety and well-being of its employees beyond working ground, through practical intervention starting at the workplace regardless of the pandemic situation.
