KMI Kuantan receives MSQH accreditation

30th September 2022 – KMI Kuantan Medical Centre (“KMI Kuantan”) has emerged as the first-ever hospital under Kumpulan Medic Iman Sdn. Bhd. (“KMI Healthcare”) to receive full accreditation by the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (“MSQH”) for its healthcare services. The four-year accreditation was awarded to the Pahang-based hospital on 30 September 2022 through an official ceremony as a recognition of its compliance with the requirements outlined by the accreditation body in delivering the highest quality of care to Malaysians.

Present to confer the Certificate of Accreditation to KMI Kuantan General Manager Muhammad Ghazali Zainal Yusof was MSQH Chief Executive Officer Prof. Dato’ Dr. Haji Abdul Rahim. The event took place at MSQH premises in Kuala Lumpur and was witnessed by KMI Healthcare Chief Executive Officer Dr. Rayney Azmi bin Ali, KMI Kuantan Medical Director Prof. Dr. Mokhtar Awang, and KMI Kuantan Chief Nursing Officer Dasimah Ahmad.

The MSQH is a national accreditation body for the healthcare industry that promotes safety and quality in the provision of healthcare facilities and services. Its Hospital Accreditation Programme provides an effective means for healthcare organisations to evaluate their level of performance against applicable national standards developed by veteran healthcare professionals, which are accepted for application across Malaysia.

Dr. Rayney, in a statement, said the accreditation by MSQH underlines the high quality of healthcare services rendered by KMI Kuantan on par with other leading providers, recognising it as a trusted hospital that has met the quality health standards in Malaysia. He further mentioned that KMI Kuantan’s accreditation will inspire KMI Healthcare’s other four hospitals to attain the same recognition, echoing the company’s vision of becoming the “Trusted Healthcare Provider of Choice”.
